TOTAL Tanzania  has  launched the first Dealer Operated Dealer Owned (DODO) station in Tegeta, Dar es Salaam.

The affiliate was already managing two DODO stations up-country and has launched its first DODO service station within a prime location in the heart of the economic city of Tanzania. The TOTAL Executive Vice President Central and North East Africa, Jean Philippe Torres stated that this was a great milestone for TOTAL Tanzania.
He lauded the owner, Mr. Vincent Lyimo for adhering to TOTAL's quality & safety
rules and was pleased that this station reaches the highest level of standard of our company.
"TOTAL is proud to promote this kind of partnership in Tanzania as this is a key factor of development." He also said customers have all the reason to use TOTAL service stations as it is a one stop station in which customers can get a variety of services in one place such as purchase fuel, get quick car wash services and shop at Café Bonjour where they can buy a variety of goods.
Network Operations Manager, William Fillet said, "TOTAL intends to continue
increasing DODO stations allover Tanzania. The station has been built in  6 months only after contract agreement with the dealer and we plan to roll-out many more stations under the same model." The Tegeta service station owner, Mr. Lyimo thanked TOTAL for coming up with this concept and giving them the opportunity to operate as a franchise.
"We did not have  this  in  mind  at  all  as this place was previously used to manufacture bricks, but TOTAL spotted and approached us, we got into an agreement and started designing with them all the way up to construction and completion of the station," he said.
