THE 17TH PRESIDENTIAL MANUFACTURER’S OF THE YEAR AWARD

On December 17 th 2023 TotalEnergies Marketing Tanzania LTD won two awards of the 17th President’s Manufacturer of the Year Awards that were organized and hosted by the Confederation of Tanzania Industries (CTI). The awarding event was held in Dar es Salaam and officiated by the President of the United Republic of Tanzania, Hon. Samia Suluhu Hassan.

The President’s Manufacturer of the Year Awards (PMAYA) competition is an annual event that is organized by the Confederation of Tanzania Industries (CTI) to award outstanding industries of the preceding year. In the 2023 competition, TotalEnergies Marketing Tanzania LTD was awarded the second runner upper of the overall 17th Presidential Manufacturer’s of the Year Award and the winner of the best Oil Blending Plant for large industries.

The affiliate’s nomination in the competition followed the company’s state of the art Lubricant and Oil Blending Plant development, progressive local production of lubricants, the company’s socio-economic contribution in the country through increase employment opportunities created and the Corporate Social Responsibility initiatives for the year 2021-2022. The affiliate’s financial statements, HR employment and CSR procedures and policies were collected by the Confederation of Tanzania Industries (CTI) auditing team for the competition which provided evidence for TotalEnergies Marketing Tanzania Limited legitimacy in the competition and winning the two awards.

Both awards were presented by the President of the United Republic of Tanzania, Her Excellence Samia Suluhu Hassan and received by TotalEnergies Marketing Tanzania Limited Managing Director, Mamadou Ngom and Director of Legal, Corporate Affair, HR & Admin, Getrude Mpangile.

Speaking during the awarding event, the Managing Director, Mamadou Ngom addressed that it was an honor to be awarded the Presidential Awards, “It is with high delight that we have received these two awards today, these affirms our commitment to thrive through our Lubricant and Oil blending plant that produces lubricants, coolants, and Greece not only for the Tanzania market but the East African market and beyond. We are proud of the employment opportunities and CSR initiative that we provide in society that has enabled the acknowledgment and honor that we have received tonight. Our commitment continues will forever be prolonged.”

The Director of Legal, Corporate Affair, HR and Administration for TotalEnergies Marketing Tanzania LTD, Getrude Mpangile further added that “Our customers are the inspiration of our products and services, we promise to continue to be innovative and ensure to provide them with their needed high-quality products for their vehicles and equipment.”
